Lady Colin Campbell has claimed Meghan Markle received ‘greater privileges’ than any other royal fiancée – including Kate Middleton.
The author, 70, who is best known for her 2015 appearance in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, said the Royal Family went ‘out of their way to welcome’ the former actress, 38.
Lady Colin, who penned the 1992 bestseller Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody, added that The Firm ’embraced’ Meghan in a way that ‘nobody has ever been before’.
Speaking to the Daily Star Online, she said: ‘The Royal Family went out of their way to embrace [Meghan] in a way that they have never gone out of their way to embrace anybody else.

‘Meghan was the only fiancée that was ever asked to Windsor before the wedding, and she was the only newlywed who was invited by the Queen to accompany her on a daily engagement.
‘She is the only newlywed who was actually invited to stand with the Queen at Buckingham Palace, and Meghan was given greater privileges and embraced in a way that nobody has ever been before.’
Lady Colin added that the Queen is likely to have taken a shine to Meghan’s ‘dominant’ personality.
She told the publication: ‘Meghan has a very dominant personality, and is someone who has never been shy of walking into a room and taking control of it.

‘She has done that with everybody throughout the whole of her life, and she saw no reason to change when she joined the Royal Family.
‘The Queen loves dominant, vivacious personalities, and Meghan can be very vivacious and charming and appealing.’
Yesterday Lady Colin told FEMAIL that she believes Meghan has political aspirations and hopes to one day run for president.
She said she believes the Sussexes moving to the US is part of the plan to make the shift into the political sphere.

‘I know the Duchess of Sussex has political ambitions and I’ve been told that one day she wants to run for President,’ Lady Colin claimed.
‘I think everything she is doing, leaving the royal family and moving back to California is part of her plan and she has taken Harry along with her.’
The Jamaican-born British writer, who penned the 1992 best-selling biography, Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody Knows, has a new book out on Thursday about the Duke, 35, and Duchess of Sussex, 38, titled Meghan and Harry: The Real Story.
The author has given a number of interviews about the couple in recent weeks, including one with The Sunday Times in which she said Meghan has ‘squandered’ the ‘most wonderful opportunity’ by leaving the royal family.
She also claimed the signs Meghan would ‘not adjust’ well to life as a royal were apparent shortly after her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.

Lady Colin told how Meghan became the hot topic of conversation at a dinner held at her house at Castle Goring, Worthing in Sussex, following a garden party for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.
The socialite heard Meghan had apparently asked to leave after having her photo taken because she was ‘bored’.
‘We were all horrified,’ the author said. ‘It was a warning sign Meghan was not going to adjust as well as she’d hoped.’
Speaking to Australian TV network Channel Nine on Friday in which she said Meghan was the ‘driving force’ behind the decision to leave the royal family.
‘If you listen to their engagement tape they both state she’s been treated very well, she’s been welcomed with open arms and they can’t wait for her to become a working member of the royal family and she said she wanted to hit the ground running.
‘It did not work out for Meghan the way she thought it would… Meghan did not make the adjustment she should have and could have, and she is the one in my opinion [who drove the departure].’
