It comes after Stephen Danzig, who lives in Watford, told said he noticed this post box had been sealed off.
He said: “I go past it most days. It’s been like it for nearly two weeks.
“You think they would put a notice up.”
Cllr Mark Watkin said he was aware of the Langley Road post box and had been told the Ridge Lane one was wrapped with tape too.
Royal Mail was asked if post had been emptied before they were sealed. It did not answer.
It also did not confirm how long the boxes had been taped.
A spokesperson said: “These post boxes were sealed as the keys for them had been misplaced and replacement locks were being ordered.
“Signage has been attached to the affected boxes informing customers of the issue.”
Mr Danzig and Mr Watkins said they did not see any signs on the post box in Langley Road.
Royal Mail has said the post boxes are now back in use (Monday afternoon, November 28), but did not confirm if other boxes were affected by the missing keys.
