Many people might not be ready to hear the word ‘Christmas’ just yet but there is no denying the festive season is fast approaching. For those who like to be prepared, buying presents early and getting them sent off is one way to take some of the stress out of the festive season.

So for super-organised people out there, we have the last posting dates for the Royal Mail and Evri to put in your phones and diaries. The dates are for gifts, cards or whatever else needs posting to arrive in time for the big day. Evri was previously Hermes.

The Royal Mail states: “Allow plenty of time for posting. Please post items and gifts for Christmas early, particularly for International deliveries. Ongoing covid restrictions, reduced air and freight capacity, high volumes and winter weather conditions are all impacting transportation and local delivery across the globe.”

When is the last posting day for Christmas?

According to the Royal Mail, the last posting dates for Christmas are as follows:

Friday, December 16 – Royal Mail Bulk Mail Economy

Monday, December 19 – 2nd Class, 2nd Class Signed For and Royal Mail 48

Wednesday, December 21 – 1st Class, 1st Class Signed For, Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail Tracked 48

Thursday, December 22 – Special Delivery Guaranteed and Royal Mail Tracked 24

Friday, December 23 – Special Delivery Guaranteed with Saturday Guarantee

Evri last postal dates for Christmas

Tuesday, December 20 – last day for courier collections

Wednesday, December 21 at noon – last send for standard parcels from a ParcelShop

Thursday, December 22 at noon – last send for next day parcels from a ParcelShop
