Last posting times for Christmas cards, letters and parcels

The Royal Mail has  announced its latest recommended posting dates for to ensure mail arrives in time for Christmas 2019.

If you’re posting abroad it’s already too late for most destinations – unless you’re sending to our closest Continental neighbours in Belgium, France, Ireland and Luxembourg.

But there is still time if you’re quick to post cards, letters and parcels to friends and family in the UK.

These are the the Christmas and New Year postal and collection times:

Wednesday 18 December

2nd Class and 2nd Class Signed For. Also the final European posting date to destinations in Belgium, France, Ireland and Luxembourg.

Friday 20 December

1st Class and 1st Class Signed For
Royal Mail Tracked 48 for business parcels.

Saturday 21 December

Royal Mail Tracked 24 for business parcels.

Monday 23 December

Special Delivery Guaranteed

Still waiting for a delivery?

There will be normal deliveries and collections from post boxes every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day when the postie puts his or her feet up.

There will be no deliveries and collections on New Year’s Day.
