Coronavirus infection rates have fallen again in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester while hospital admissions have also gone down.
Tameside continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in the county.
The borough recorded a rate of 1,053.2 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending January 18, according to the latest data from the UK Health Security Agency.
The lowest infection rate is in Stockport, where the rate is 768.9 cases per 100,000 people.

In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 881.5 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 973.6 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 24,996 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on January 18.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 16,508 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 40 per cent in the last week.
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on January 16, a total of 967 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 166 fewer than the week before, a fall of 21 per cent.
On Tuesday January 18, there were 38 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is 166 fewer than a week earlier.
This is the most recent available data for hospital admissions as the figures for NHS trusts are not updated daily.
Deaths
In the week ending January 18, a total of 114 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is eight fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 777,869 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There have been a total of 8,336 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
The trend is down in Salford , where there were 2,326 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 18, which is 1,800 fewer than the previous seven days. That is down by 44 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Salford is 885.4 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
In Bolton , the latest infection rate is 931.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by 41 per cent.
A total of 2,684 people tested positive for Covid in Bolton over the seven days ending on January 18, which is 1,827 fewer than the week before.
There was a fall of 39 per cent in cases in the city borough of Manchester over the week ending January 18, and the infection rate is now 858.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Manchester recorded 4,769 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 3,069 fewer than the previous week.
Stockport , which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 2,262 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 18, which is 1,632 fewer than the previous seven days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Stockport is now 768.9 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 42 per cent week-on-week.
Trafford saw a total of 2,045 cases in the week ending January 18, which is 1,155 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 36 per cent.
In Trafford, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 860.8 cases per 100,000 people.
The trend is down in Wigan where the latest infection rate is 820.3 cases per 100,000 people.

Some 2,713 cases were recorded in Wigan, which is 2,364 fewer than the previous week – a fall of 47 per cent.
Rochdale recorded 2,060 coronavirus cases, which is 1,510 fewer than in the previous seven days. The latest infection rate in Rochdale is 921.0 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 42 per cent week-on-week.
In Tameside , there were 2,392 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 18, which is 1,119 fewer than the previous seven days.
Tameside has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Tameside is down slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is down by 32 per cent.
In Oldham , the number of cases is down by 39 per cent compared to the previous week – leaving the infection rate at 824.4 cases per 100,000 population.
Some 1,959 positive Covid-19 tests were registered in Oldham in the week ending January 18, which was 1,266 fewer than the previous seven days.
There were 1,786 positive tests over the last week in Bury , which is 766 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Bury is down by 30 per cent and the latest infection rate is 936.5 cases per 100,000 people.
