Laura Whitmore and beau Iain Stirling celebrate Halloween by dressing up as Gwyneth Paltrow and Luke Wilson’s The Royal Tenenbaums characters

Laura Whitmore and her beau Iain Stirling got into the Halloween spirit on Saturday by dressing up in costume.

The Love Island presenter, 35, and her beau, 32, dressed as Gwyneth Paltrow and Luke Wilson’s characters Margot and Richie from The Royal Tenenbaums in a snap she shared via Instagram on Saturday.

Donning a beige fur coat, Laura transformed into Gwyneth’s character by wearing her blonde locks in a straight bob that was pinned back with a single hairpin.

She carried a light pink purse to match Gwyneth’s original look, and held up a cigarette in one hand to mimic her character.

Iain, meanhwile, wore a sports headband over his brunet locks and shielded his eyes with a pair of shades, and donned a beige jacket to match Luke Wilson’s ensemble. 

The Wes Anderson film followed an eccentric family which consists of three gifted siblings who struggle with disappointment in adulthood after having great success when they were children. 

Gwyneth and Luke’s character were two of those siblings, Margot was adopted into the family, with Ben Stiller’s Chas acting as the third and eldest prodigy.

Laura and Emily Atack made their much-anticipated debut on Celebrity Juice last Thursday. 

The two blonde bombshells took over from Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton, joining Keith Lemon on the revamped panel show. 

As well as a new line-up, the show features a brand new set of opening titles, veering away from the ones used in the past.

On Thursday, Laura reflected on a difficult year in a new candid interview after losing her friend Caroline Flack and her cousin to coronavirus in Ireland.

Talking on Women’s Health Going for Goal podcast, the Irish presenter, 35, admitted that she struggled to deal with late Love Island host Caroline’s death, who tragically took her own life in February aged 40.

Laura, who has spent lockdown privately grieving, also emotionally shared that her cousin died from coronavirus in Ireland. He was in his 40s.

Talking about Caroline’s death, the TV star, who took over presenting from the late host for the winter edition of Love Island, said she ‘wasn’t in a position’ to grieve properly at the time.

She reflected: ‘I think at the time I didn’t deal with it because I probably wasn’t in a position where I could, because I was still doing this show [Love Island] and I really didn’t know…

‘I’ve never lost someone in my group of friends who is so young. It’s hard, I’d get tagged in something by a fan account of Caroline and I’ll think it’s Caroline and it’s only now it’s hit me that’s not her.’

Laura said she has used lockdown to grieve privately and it was important that she was forced to take a break.
