Closure of Highway 1 due to the washout has prompted the Big Sur Post Office to adjust its open hours. Until Caltrans reopens the portion of the highway affected by the damage, the post office at 47500 Highway 1 will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More: continued here
