Gamers hunting for PlayStation 5 continued to flood UK retailers in a desperate bid to bag a console – but there is fresh hope.
BirminghamLive has seen consoles drop at John Lewis, Smyths and GAME, Argos and AO already this month and, according to stock watchers, more are planned.
A number of tipsters have said it will continue to be a busy time to buy Sony’s sought-after console, as the likes of Amazon, Smyths and Currys are all expected to put Sony’s console on sale this week.
The stock tracker confirmed: “UPDATE: Possible restocks starting from tomorrow: Amazon : 15-18th March (9am-2pm) Smyths : 18-20th March (1pm-9pm) Currys: 15-18th March (7am-10am).”
One of the biggest drops expected to take place at Currys, where customers can sign up for priority passes.
Currys will select random entrants and send a Priority Pass to them, complete with a PS5 buying code. These codes will be valid for 72-hours only.

But its not all good news and there have also been reports of customers being sent Royal Mail scam text messages after ordering a console.
