Lively week of cup darts

The opening round of the H&H Cup produced a lively week of darts for the Division B sides in the Pinchbeck & District Winter Darts League.

Kirton Leisure, the current league leaders, booked their place in the semi finals with a confident 7-2 home win over Lincoln Arms C.

Josh Smith impressed with a 100 checkout, while Trev Wright and Zac Brown claimed the only wins for the visitors.

In the Green Dragon derby, the Z Side dominated with an emphatic 8-1 victory.

Adam Rear secured the sole win for the C team, beating Athena Overton 2-0.

The Consti Club derby delivered a tight contest, with the D team edging out the A team 5-4.

The A side had led 4-3, but late singles wins from Nick Collins and Braydon Deans turned the match in favour of the D team.

Another narrow 5-4 result saw Consti Club Z progress after a hard fought away win at Pinchbeck FC C.

Dan Patey levelled the match at 4-4 before Paul Merrill held his nerve to take the deciding singles 2-1.

Brandon Bristow produced a 116 checkout in his 2-1 win over Emma Tickner.

With no scheduled Division A fixtures, several catch up matches were played.

Leaders Lincoln Arms A strengthened their position with an impressive 8-1 away win at Consti Club B.

Matt Broderick and Darren Lawes earned the only point for the hosts, winning their pairs match 2-1 against Sam Roberts and Steve Gaughan.

Steve Stancer fired an 18-dart leg for the visitors. Royal Mail Cart remain in the title chase after an 8-1 win at the Black Bull.

The match featured 180s from Jason Vines and Chris Fidler for the Mail Cart, and from Rick Clay for the Bull.

Pinchbeck FC B overturned a 2-1 pairs deficit against Services Club B to win all six singles and secure a 7–2 victory.

Tom Elderkin and Connor Mackenzie hit a 16 dart leg in the pairs for the Football Club.

Dave Norbury added a 180, while Andy Mason produced a 116 finish for the Services.
