Cynthia Spencer Hospice has thanked FCC Environment and West Northamptonshire Council for their support of the Hospice’s annual Christmas Tree Collection Campaign, which has delivered strong environmental and fundraising results across the region.
As part of the campaign, 222 Christmas trees were collected from kerbsides across West Northamptonshire by corporate volunteers and delivered locally for composting. The trees were processed through recycling partners Material Change via the Sixfields and Ecton HWRCs, with some trees sent directly to Welland Waste, ensuring they were responsibly recycled within the community.
By supporting the project, FCC Environment and West Northamptonshire Council accepted deliveries to recycling centres locally, saving volunteer mileage and minimising the overall environmental impact of the campaign. The trees collected were delivered to Material Change and Welland Waste for composting.

Ecton Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC): 116 trees sent to Material Change
9 trees delivered directly to Welland Waste
The campaign was supported by a wide range of corporate volunteers, including:

- T&W Civil Engineering
- Xtra Express
- Chartwell Controls
- Artemis
- DJH Ravcon
- Welford Christmas Tree Farm
Thanks to the generosity of residents, volunteers, and partner organisations, the Christmas Tree Collection Campaign raised over £3,000 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
