London Calling to play at Lake District venue next month

London Calling are celebrating the 45th anniversary of ‘London Calling’, the 1979 third studio LP album by The Clash.

The Clash released their acclaimed double album ‘London Calling’ on 14 December 1979. The LP went to the Top 10 in the UK charts and has gone on to sell over five million copies worldwide. In Rolling Stone Magazine’s ‘500 Greatest Albums of All Time’, it has been ranked eighth twice. In 2010, it was one of ten classic album covers from British artists commemorated on a UK Royal Mail postage stamp.

London Calling will be paying homage by playing selected songs from the album. They will then go on and play fan favourites and classics by The Clash including ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’, ‘Rock the Casbah’ and ‘I Fought the Law’.

They play at The Coro in Ulverston on Saturday March 1st.
