Last night, an unexpected projection show illuminated the renowned London Eye and County Hall, creating a breathtaking backdrop.
The show used state-of-the-art mapping and hologauze technology to project a series of images honouring significant milestones in human evolution and innovation.
Projected along London’s Southbank the show started off in the Stone Age and ended in the present day with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
The narrative also touched on ancient civilisations, the Renaissance era, the Industrial Revolution.
It was commissioned by Samsung to celebrate the launch of their new Galaxy S25 series. Annika Bizon, director of mobile experiences at Samsung UK & Ireland, stated: “Our event represents more than just a showcase of cutting-edge technology – it’s a celebration of human progress.”

“We wanted to create a truly immersive experience that connects emotionally and intellectually, highlighting how the evolution of AI will play a pivotal role in the next chapter of our evolution,” Annika commented.
Recent research suggests that most adults believe AI will influence our lives in the same way as computers, smartphones, and televisions have.
Moreover, AI was ranked higher than streaming services, electric cars, and social media platforms in terms of its innovative impact.
At least three times a week, users are asking for suggestions on what to watch or listen to from AI-tools and similarly, they’re using AI to help with writing tasks as frequently.
The majority of adults tend to use AI applications on their smartphones, yet nearly half, also make use of them on their laptops or desktops.
By the year 2025, more than one-third of people expect to ramp up their use of AI. Of those polled, 34% hope to employ it to better their abilities and acquire new knowledge, while an equal proportion plan to leverage it for managing everyday life chores.
