Long Sutton man beats troubling health problems by shedding three stones

A three stones weight loss has delivered bonus health gifts for super slimmer Michael Taylor.

Michael (59) is no longer pre-diabetic … and he’s stopped suffering from sleep apnoea, a condition where people stop breathing while they sleep.

The Royal Mail delivery office manager joined Slimming World at Long Sutton with wife Corinne Taylor-Hart and their daughter, Holly Taylor-Hart in January 2018.

Michael says Corinne and Holly (17) have lost the best part of nine stones between them and both are being complimented on their success and the way they look.

Happily Corinne and Holly weren’t in the same boat as Michael who needed to beat two troubling health conditions.

“I would get out of breath just climbing the stairs,” said Michael. “Now I don’t have any issues like that whatsoever. Thanks to the changes I’ve made, my health has improved dramatically and I no longer face having to take any medication. I have got my life back and I couldn’t be happier. My blood sugar reading is now in the normal range and the doctor says I show no symptoms of type 2 diabetes.”

Michael, who was crowned Mr Sleek 2019, and his family are staying on at their Long Sutton Slimming World class because they want to maintain their weight loss and stay in touch with the many new friends they have made.

He loves the healthy eating plan and says he’s never felt like he was dieting.

Katie Doiley, who runs the group, said: “The changes we have seen in Michael are incredible.”

The group meets on Tuesdays at 5.30pm and 7.30pm in the Royal British Legion Hall. Pop along to join or call Katie on 07928 395615.
