Basingstoke and Deane’s motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M3, from 9pm January 5 to 6am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 5, slip road and lane closure for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm December 9 2024 to 6am January 21 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington to Tot Hill, carriageway closure for resurfacing work.
• M3, from 8pm January 2 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 6, slip road and lane closure for maintenance work.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A303, from 9pm January 6 to 6am January 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Sutton Scotney to Bullington, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 9pm January 11 to 6am January 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road closure for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm January 12 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 9pm January 13 to 6am January 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 southbound, Kingsworthy, link road closure for maintenance work.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
