Maldon MP Sir John Whittingdale visits Royal Mail office

Sir John Whittingdale, MP for Maldon, visited the Royal Mail delivery office in Maldon to meet staff working hard during the busy Christmas period.

During his visit, he observed postal workers sorting mail before heading out on their delivery rounds.

Sir John praised the team for their dedication, saying, “The run up to Christmas is always particularly busy for the Royal Mail and the Posties in Maldon are doing a fantastic job, working flat out to ensure that all the Christmas greetings and presents arrive in time.

He added it was a pleasure to thank them in person and joked about saving his postie a trip by collecting his own mail.
