Malhotra Group recruits Andrew Carr as head of finance

Care and hospitality business Malhotra Group has recruited Andrew Carr as its head of finance.

He brings 25 years’ experience in senior financial roles that he has gained in several businesses and organisations in a variety of sectors.

Malhotra Group’s portfolio includes residential care providers Prestwick Care and Lifestyle Care, hotels, bars. and property.

Carr joins from Biddick Academy Trust, where he was director of finance and business, with responsibilities covering non-teaching operations, including finance, estates, administration, data protection, and health and safety. Before that he held senior roles at Royal Mail Properties, Facilities Services Ltd, Tyne Metropolitan College, and Swissport plc.

His role at Malhotra Group will include oversight of the finance team, financial reporting internally and externally and ownership of the group’s year-end audit process, its corporation tax affairs, and involvement with group-wide IT governance and systems.
