A man who was left baffled after being sent Christmas cards by a stranger for over 20 years decided it was time to get to the bottom of the mystery.
Every year for more than two decades a festive card was delivered to the man’s home with the envelope marked with the wrong name.
The man, from Sefton, took to social media to try and find the right person the Christmas cards were intended for.

He wrote: “Anyone know the correct house number for this person? Been getting their Christmas cards for the last 20+ years!”
The person who should have been getting the cards quickly commented on the Facenook post, the ECHO reports.
He said: “Yes that’s me, whoever it is I’ve obviously not struck them off my Christmas card list for not sending me one.”
The card was eventually passed onto the person it was meant for, albeit more than 20 years worth of cards later.
He also brought it up with the sender who was adamant it was going to the right address.
He went on to comment: “Now have the Christmas card, thank you. [I] spoke to the person who has been sending it to the wrong address.
“A friend moved many years ago hence posting the card, I asked her what my house number is and she said # the one she used, I said no it’s # and she said, no it’s not.
“I think I know where I live!”
