The death of 49-year-old Hull man who died alone in Hull Royal Infirmary has sparked a police appeal to track down his family.
Keith Smith passed away on January 20 but Humberside Police say they have been unable to track down his relatives to notify them of their loss.
Mr Smith lived in a flat on Spring Bank West for around 20 years but officers also understand that he moved to the city from Birmingham.
Launching their next of kin appeal, a spokesman for the force said: “We are appealing for help to locate the next of kin (NOK) of 49 year-old Keith Smith, who died in Hull Royal Infirmary on January 20, 2021.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious – we just need to locate his family.
“We know that Keith lived in a flat on Spring Bank West in Hull for around 20 years but is also known to have originated from Birmingham.
“If you know or are in contact with Keith’s next of kin please call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting Log 216 of 20 January 2021.”
