Manteca’s Post Office on Maple Avenue was built 71 years ago. This also marks the 102nd year of a post office being based in Manteca. Prior to 1908, Manteca was a rural route of the Lathrop post office. The only other post office in the area was at Atlanta on Lone Tree Road at Due Road east of present-day Manteca.
