MARKET REPORT: Royal Mail ease competition fears with a rise in share prices

ROYAL Mail delivered an 18¾p rise to 497½p as competition fears eased, while dealers suggested the appointment of John Whittingdale as the new Culture Secretary could point to a more radical reform of the BBC, providing a 4¼p boost to 265p for ITV.
