Meghan Markle named most influential royal – beating the Queen

Meghan Markle has topped a list to be named most influential royal – beating the Queen.

The survey was conducted by Design Bundles.

Researchers analysed everything from Google searches and Instagram hashtags to mentions on social media too.

The Duchess of Sussex, aged 40, topped the ranking with a whopping 7.4 million searches on search platform Google.

The Duchess, who married Harry in 2018, also racked up a whopping 11,200 news articles mentioning her.

She boasts a mention in 10.4 million hashtags on Insta, too.

In the list, The Queen – who turned 95 earlier this year – came second.

Her Majesty pipped Kate Middleton, who came third.

The Queen has endured a tough personal year, with Prince Harry living abroad.

The Duchess of Sussex’s husband, who turned 37 earlier this year, came in at fourth on a news worthy calendar year for him.

Surprisingly, Princess Diana was in fifth place, while Camilla Parker-Bowles came at the bottom of the list in 10th place.
