Miss GB finalist, 26, hits back at ‘cyber bullies’ after they send her old topless modelling photos to judges and get her axed from the competition
- Portia-Valis Volkova, 26, had boasted the now-revoked Miss Kensington sash
- The Miss GB organisers received an anonymous email revealing her ‘past life’
- She says that her career has been dogged by tormentors dredging up old photos
A Miss Great Britain contender has tore into malicious ‘cyber bullies’ who sent her old nude photographs to the competition judges to get her booted from the final.
Portia-Valis Volkova, 26, already boasted the Miss Kensington sash and was tonight supposed to be among the women jostling for the national title.
But her dreams of being 2020’s Miss GB were left in ribbons after organisers received an anonymous email revealing her ‘past life’ as a topless model.

A zero tolerance policy barring entrants who have ever posed naked from running forced judges to expel her from the final and revoke her Miss Kensington title.
Ms Volkova, who is also a talented classical musician, says her new career has been dogged by tormentors dredging up her modelling days.
‘I have had a problem with someone or a group of people anonymously emailing bosses wherever I go showing them these videos,’ she told the Sun.
‘It feels like the cyber bullies have won. I haven’t done these sorts of things since I was 21 and I raised so much money for charity.
‘I’m not ashamed of anything I have done and I think it is disgusting that someone can be discriminated against because of their past.’
While conceding Volkova had been knuckling down to raise money for charity – a major part of the competition – the organisers regretfully withdrew her.

Competition chief Kate Solomons said: ‘My main concern was this coming to light within the public eye and ensuring that Valis is protected from people’s opinions and the trolling nature we see all too often.’
Although she now lives in Kensington, west London, Volkova was born and raised in Liverpool.
From the age of 12, she trained as an opera singer at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music – one of the world’s leading conservatoires.
Yet in a sideways step from her opera past, Volkova now sings in a death metal band called She Must Burn, according to her website.
Volkova, who has appeared in Game of Thrones, also claims to work with ‘with various fashion, lingerie & beauty brands, as a model and influencer and has a keen interest on promoting sustainable, affordable luxury.’
