Mobile speed camera locations for Gloucestershire in November 2022

Major routes across Gloucestershire will be under the watchful eyes of mobile speed cameras over the next week.

Officers will be monitoring the A40 Golden Valley where there has been a number of crashes over the past few months.

Police will also be keeping an eye on the B4008 Bristol Road, Olympus Park, Quedgeley – another collision hotspot.

The expectation is that each of the following priority locations will be visited at least once per week during the month of November:

  • Whelford Road, Fairford – 30mph
  • Beachley Road, Sedbury – 20mph
  • A40 Golden Valley (through the roadworks) – 40 mph
  • Bath Road, Eastington – 30mph
  • B4008 Bristol Road, Olympus Park, Quedgeley – 30 mph
  • New Barn Lane, Prestbury – 30mph

The Mobile Camera Enforcement Unit said the presence of a speed camera will encourage drivers to change their behaviour and drive at a lower, safer speed.

It adds: “Throughout the pandemic lock-down and the subsequent return towards normal traffic flows the Camera Enforcement Team (CET) have been visiting as many of the sites as possible to act as a reminder to drivers about their behaviour and to enforce against those who have been driving at excessive speeds or committing other offences.”
