Moment road rage driver grabs postman by the neck and shoves him into van | UK News

This is the horrifying moment a man grabbed a postman by the throat as he tried to deliver mail.

Footage shows a man dressed in black shorts and a T-shirt wrap his hands around the postman’s neck on Leytonstone High Street, east London, yesterday.

The postie in his distinctive red uniform tried to defend himself as he was shoved into the open driver’s side door of his Royal Mail van.

The motorist appears to be trying to shove the postman back into his van, grabbing him by the throat and head and pushing him into the vehicle’s open door.

Witnesses looked shocked as the continue to fight, with the man in black heard saying: ‘I was sitting behind you. You give it all the f***ing big ones.’

The video comes to an end as the postman is shoved into the van banging his head on the door.

The incident was recorded by a passing motorist who shared the footage to social media yesterday with the caption: ‘Happened on Leytonstone High Street.’

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: ‘This was a shocking attack and we condemn any form of physical or verbal abuse against our colleagues.

‘The incident has been reported to the Metropolitan Police and we urge anyone with any information to contact them.’
