Monkerhostin sprang a 25-1 surprise for trainer Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown. Leading at the final fence, the 11-year-old galloped on resolutely up the hill to beat Royal Auclair (14-1), trained by Paul Nicholls.
