More food stamps for 600,000 Illinoisans (Chicago Tribune)

SPRINGFIELD — About 600,000 needy Illinoisans will get an increase in food stamps thanks to the federal economic stimulus, Clout Street reports . Gov. Pat Quinn said the federal aid will help at this time of recession because “Illinois families are struggling to put food on the table.”
