More post office closures loom as Mail profits double (Evening Standard)

Royal Mail warned of the threat of more post office closures today as it unveiled a doubling of profits to £177 million. It said that if it did not win a key Government contract – the Post Office Card Account – which is currently out to tender there would have to be a further round of cuts.
