Morrisons now offers contraception and menopause medication – and you don’t need to see a GP

Securing a GP appointment can be challenging, especially in urban areas, and it’s all too easy to postpone booking one. Thankfully, local pharmacies are increasingly able to diagnose and treat many common conditions, with an expanding range of these services now available online.

In response to this trend, Morrisons has partnered with online prescription delivery service Phlo to launch its own on-demand healthcare platform, Morrisons Clinic. This service allows you to quickly obtain the prescriptions you need from a team of fully qualified clinicians, delivered straight to your doorstep.

Among the medications available are contraception and menopause treatments. For contraception, customers can get the daily pill from £14.95, as well as emergency contraception (also known as the ‘morning after pill’) from £13.

Meanwhile, menopause treatment Gina is available from £29.95. All their experts are GPhC certified as well, reports the Liverpool Echo.

To use Morrisons’ at-home delivery service, the process is as follows:

  1. Complete a questionnaire detailing your health issues.
  2. The clinical team at Morrisons Clinics will review your information and prescribe appropriate treatment.
  3. Your medication will be dispatched and delivered promptly.

All medications are sourced within the UK, and the service guarantees confidential communication and discreet packaging. It offers free Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery and complies fully with UK regulations.

The service can assess and prescribe treatments for a variety of common conditions, including:.

  • Weight loss
  • Daily contraception
  • Acid reflux
  • Hair loss
  • Migraine
  • Emergency contraception
  • Hay fever
  • Period delay
  • Acne
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Menopause
  • Premature ejaculation

Additional services are on offer, with Lloyds Pharmacy providing tempting same-day prescription services, and Well Pharmacy being commended for its free and swift delivery options.

Following their launch earlier this year, the Morrisons Clinic has started to receive reviews, contributing to the impressive 4.7 out of 5 rating that Phlo Clinic enjoys, based on over 6,172 customer testimonials.

A satisfied customer commented: “Such a great company. When I’d collect prescriptions from my local pharmacy, I’d end up waiting between 30 minutes to an hour each time. With Phlo, it comes straight to my door without any wait. They are discontinuing service in my area which is a shame but regardless I can highly recommend them.”

Another customer said: “I signed up for Mounjaro treatment via Morrisons and the Phlo clinic side was great. I was quite anxious about this new experience and the helpline people were fantastic, l got prompt, polite and helpful responses. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.”

One customer discussed a snag with delivery timings for new prescriptions, saying: “I ordered a product and was told the wait time to go through consultation would be around a week to then dispatch, taking another 3-4 days,” leading to a three-star review.

Nonetheless, they saw a positive aspect: “I asked for a refund, which was promptly actioned.”

In contrast, a different user stated: “I recently started using as working long hours made it hard for my medication to be picked up. They are a super fast delivery, I have my medication before it runs out and if I have additional medication it gets sent straight away. Thank you for your hard work.”
