Mother’s Day: Crematoriums invite bereaved people to post cards

A crematorium group is inviting people who have lost their mothers to post Mother’s Day cards in its memorial post boxes across the west of England.

Westerleigh Group has sites in South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Sedgemoor, the Forest of Dean, and others around the UK.

“It’s also a time for people to come and sit and reflect and remember their mothers,” explained Lucy Derrick, assistant manager of West Wiltshire Crematorium.

The site’s white Letters to Heaven post box is intended to help people deal with their grief.
