Motorcyclist dies after crash with Royal Mail van

A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a Royal Mail van.

A yellow Ducati motorcycle was travelling south, along the A631 from Bishopbridge towards Glentham yesterday, April 15 when it was involved in a collision with the van, which was travelling in the same direction.

Emergency services were deployed to the scene after the incident, which happened at around 4pm.

Despite their best efforts, the biker died at the scene.

Police have revealed that he was 54 and from North Lincolnshire.

An investigation has now been launched by Lincolnshire Police into the tragic incident.

The force said: “We are appealing for witnesses and relevant dash cam footage following a fatal collision on the A631 yesterday near Glentham, at approximately 4 pm.

“The investigation team would like to speak to anyone who hasn’t already come forward, who either witnessed the collision itself, or witnessed either vehicle travelling along the aforementioned route prior to it taking place.

“Officers would also urge anyone with relevant dash cam footage to make contact.”
