Motorcyclist sadly dies after crash with Royal Mail van

A motorcyclist from North Lincolnshire sadly died after a crash with a Royal Mail van.

The incident happened along the A631 from Bishopbridge towards Glentham at about 4pm on Thursday.

The 51-year-old died at the scene.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward with information.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and relevant dash cam footage following a fatal collision on the A631 yesterday (15 April) near Glentham, at approximately 4pm.

“A yellow Ducati motorcycle was travelling south, along the A631 from Bishopbridge towards Glentham, when it was involved in a collision with a Royal Mail post van that was travelling in the same direction.

“The 54-year-old motorcyclist from North Lincolnshire sadly died at the scene despite efforts to save him.

“The investigation team would like to speak to anyone who hasn’t already come forward, who either witnessed the collision itself, or witnessed either vehicle travelling along the aforementioned route prior to it taking place.

“Officers would also urge anyone with relevant dash cam footage to make contact.
