Nathan Evans’ top tips to becoming CEO of TikTok 🤳🏼🤴🏼 | Celebrity

While our greatest achievement over lockdown’s been breaking our own ‘number of Double Stuff Oreos consumed in one sitting’ record (we’re on 16 now, just FYI 😏), Nathan Evans is having a right whirlwind of a time.

If you haven’t heard of former postie Nathan or his viral TikTok sea shanty Wellerman, we’re not even sure what to suggest. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, mate? After chucking his quite-frankly-orgasmic traditional sea shanty on his socials, he’s started the #ShantyTok trend, appeared everywhere from Lorraine to Good Morning America and – now – he could be about to do the impossible.

Yep, Nathan might just be on course to knock Olivia Rodrigo’s drivers license – which has sat untouchable atop the UK charts for NINE weeks – off number one.

So, to celebrate, we managed to pin the busiest lad on the planet down for a chinwag about everything from Wellerman and his upcoming album to TikTok tips and returning to the Royal Mail day job.

Chatting about the prospect of finally hitting the top spot with his mates 220kid and BILLEN TED, Nathan said, “It’s so close. Last week we missed out by a hair.

“This week, hopefully, fingers crossed we can make it.

[Olivia’s] been holding us off for a while. We need to fight back.”

Mate, we’re sure you’ve got it in the bag. C’mon, chart announcement. We’re ready to crack open the Prosecco.

Asked how he’ll celebrate (once we return to actual normality) if he bags the number one, Nathan told us, “I just want to get all my friends and family together and go for a big night out somewhere.

“That’s the plan. I can’t wait to get out to a pub or a club. That’ll be fantastic.”

Same, pal.

Nathan’s Wellerman Remix with 220kid and Billen Ted is out now. Stream it, download it, do whatever you’ve gotta do.
