Netflix Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story: The London filming spots

With the launch of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the eight-episode special follows the story of King George and Queen Charlotte’s relationship from the moment they first see each other.

Inspired by the real royals, the show was created by Shonda Rhimes best known for Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, along with the author of Bridgerton, Julia Quinn.

If you have already binged the series and are dying to explore some of the series’ historic spots, then you are in luck as we have all the London filming locations you can visit.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story London filming locations

Hampton Court Palace

Maybe the most recognisable of all the locations used in the show, Hampton Court Palace was once King Henry VIII’s riverside castle. Now it’s a top tourist destination with amazing gardens and bold designs. In the Netflix show it’s used as St James Palace with its exterior shots.

Queen’s House

The famous Greenwich destination has been used in the Bridgerton world a number of times.

The house once belonged to Queen Henrietta, now it is home to a wide collection of art and its famous staircase.

Queen Charlotte uses it as the backdrop for the Royal College of Physicians.

Hackney Empire

Maybe surprisingly, the Hackney Empire was used as a spot a young Queen Charlotte visited to attend the opera. The former musical hall worked perfectly for the scene and you’ll even find the opera still at the Empire.
