New CEO for DHL Supply Chain Europe

DHL Supply Chain has appointed Rainer Haag as CEO DHL Supply Chain Europe. In his new role, Haag will be responsible for 16 Central European markets that have grown particularly strongly and sustainably in recent years. In his role, he will report directly to Hendrik Venter, who previously headed the Europe, Middle East & Africa region as CEO and has now been appointed CEO DHL Supply Chain and a member of the Executive Board of DHL Group.

“I am very pleased to take on this new responsibility and to continue to build together with our customers on the solid foundation we have created in the region. Businesses are the backbone of building more resilient economies in Europe. A decisive factor for this strength is robust supply chains, which today are much more than pure logistics structures – they are – in many industries – a very important part of the business strategy,” said Haag.

Hendrik Venter added: “Rainer Haag knows our European customers, markets and processes inside out. With his track record in expanding businesses, achieving operational excellence and building high-performing teams, he is an ideal leader and a valuable asset to the division’s management board.”

Rainer Haag began his career at DHL Group in 2010 as Director Operations in Spain and has since held leading positions in various markets and sectors. His previous roles have included Managing Director Life Sciences & Healthcare Germany, Managing Director DHL Supply Chain Germany & Alps and, most recently, CEO Germany & Alps. In Florstadt near Frankfurt am Main, Haag was responsible for the successful expansion of the DHL Life Sciences & Healthcare site, which is now a central hub in the global DHL Health Logistics network.

As part of the new appointments, Katrin Hölter, previously Chief Operations Officer DHL Supply Chain EMEA, will take over the position of CEO DHL Supply Chain Germany & Alps from Haag. In her role, she has been responsible for optimizing operational processes and ensuring smooth service for customers in the region since 2022. Hölter has been with DHL Group since 2003 and brings extensive operational experience. In doing so, she decisively shaped the Group’s ‘Safety First’ culture and ensures that customers benefit from innovative, efficient and future-proof supply chain solutions.
