Now episode four is out, published on Friday (March 21) evening. This episode goes into detail about the trial of Courtney Goodwin-Diliberto.
She was recently found guilty of causing the death of her boyfriend, 26-year-old Ben Ireson, by dangerous driving.
The incident took place on April 28, 2022 near Kingston Bagpuize. The prosecution claimed the then 21-year-old had braked ‘suddenly’ causing Mr Ireson to overtake on a blind bend.
Mr Ireson had then collided with a Royal Mail van head-on, causing his death.
Goodwin-Diliberto pleaded guilty to drug driving ahead of the trial but claimed she wasn’t driving ‘dangerously or carelessly’.
Her case was that the fault lay with the driver of the lorry who was allegedly ‘over the white line’ at the time of the incident.
