Ryan Fogarty, 18, from Bettws, sent a 9ct rose gold 22gram bracelet to Bristol Gold for repair via Royal Mail around eight months ago.
Despite using special delivery, Ryan’s parcel never arrived and to this day, doesn’t know what happened to the jewellery.

Ryan said: “I had a gold bracelet which I bought from Bristol Gold. I wanted to get it fixed without physically going to Bristol, so I decided to get it delivered. I put in all the necessary details and sent it off.
“I wrapped my bracelet in the special delivery wrapping they provided me, ensuring my parcel would be safe, but it wasn’t.
“I contacted Bristol Gold about a month later. They confirmed my parcel had not arrived and my suspicion grew as my parcel should have arrived a lot earlier.”

Ryan then contacted Royal Mail who informed that an investigation was underway to find out who the driver was on the day of the delivery.
He continued: “I don’t understand how it could have gone missing. Royal Mail just keep saying they will help but they don’t want to take responsibility for it.
“It was a gold personalised chain. In my opinion, someone has seen it and decided to take it. Imagine if it was someone’s document like a passport or a birthday card with a lot of money inside.
“They might have seen the label on the parcel that it was a gold bracelet and then shoved it in their pocket.”
Ryan was told the parcel was ‘lost in transfer’ between the depot and Bristol.
“I was informed that it was dropped at the depot to be delivered but somewhere along the way the bracelet was lost, and it was never received. I don’t know what happened to the parcel.
“What can I do? It was an £800 bracelet, and it has gone missing. Eight months later and all I’m told is they are still investigating.”
Royal Mail was approached for comment but had not responded at time of publication.
