Newtown’s Hawleyville post office receives eviction notice (The News-Times)

NEWTOWN — The U.S. Postal Service received a letter of eviction Tuesday for the Hawleyville post office, making the future of the popular branch unclear after this month. Postal Service officials in Hartford confirmed the small office in Hawleyville received a letter from the Housatonic Railroad Company, which owns the building, saying its month-to-month lease will not be renewed after Oct.
