NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy announces 2025 nominees

Streaming platform NextUp have announced the longlist of nominees for their annual Edinburgh Fringe competition, The Biggest Award in Comedy.

The following acts have been selected by NextUp members and their panel of scouts:

NextUp members have until midnight on 20th August to vote via nextupcomedy.com/biggestaward

The winner will be announced on Friday 22nd.

The winning act will receive a 2 metre 3cm inflatable trophy (“literally the biggest award in comedy”), plus an air pump and case, £500 and the option to have their special recorded for the NextUp platform.

Sarah Henley, co-founder of NextUp, says: “Narrowing down the longlist from hundreds of incredible shows was tough – almost as tough as inflating this beast of a trophy without getting light-headed. It’s currently in our office, hogging the best chair and blocking all natural light. Here’s hoping the winner has more storage space than we do!”
