Northallerton jubilee display ‘will hopefully put smiles on people’s faces’

A JUBILEE-THEMED display in Northallerton has sprung up at the town’s former Post Office.

A knitted post-box topper has been created by Michelle Higgins, aka the Knitting Nana of Northallerton, whose sister Nicki Hall works at the Royal Mail Northallerton Delivery Office.

The display also features a history window reflecting the Queen’s service in the Second World War, with pictures created by children from Alverton Community Primary School.

Ms Hall said: “We cannot thank the brilliant community of Northallerton enough for helping us at the delivery office be able to pull together a display which will hopefully put smiles on people’s faces who live locally or visitors coming into the town.”
