Nuneaton Carnival 2023 full procession route revealed

Nuneaton Carnival’s comeback is just days away and the full procession route has been revealed. After three years away, the traditional event will be back on Sunday, June 11.

Organisers have revealed the route so that people can line the streets and watch the colourful procession as it passes by – and throw their pennies into buckets. This year all of the funds raised from the carnival will be donated to the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

In keeping with tradition, the carnival procession will start in Avenue Road and make its way through parts of Attleborough down to the island by St Nicolas Parish Church. This will be the location for the first official stop.

The floats and walkers will then make its way round the roundabout, past the library and the Royal Mail sorting office and head along Newdegate Street, onto Abbey Street and then towards the island by Halfords. It will then go along Jubilee Way, past the old Co-op car park and head back towards the island by the Town Hall.

It will have its second stop around there before heading along Coton Road and back towards Avenue Road, where it will end. There have been ‘some surprises’ promised for this year’s procession by the carnival committee.
