Oakley opens second London store on Carnaby Street

US eyewear, apparel, footwear and sports equipment brand Oakley has opened its second London store at 23 Carnaby Street, adding to its existing store a 1-4 King Street in Covent Garden.

The store opening saw Oakley’s new brand ambassador Alessia Russo, a professional footballer for Arsenal and England women’s teams, greet fans and welcome them to the new space.

The store also features blown up images of Paris Saint-Germain and France footballer Kylian Mbappé – who became an Oakley brand ambassador in January 2022 – sporting some futuristic looking sunglasses, and in-store is a selection of the brand’s bestselling eyewear, including styles such as ‘Kato’, ‘Sutro’ and ‘Holbrook’.

Stefano Melani, GM of Luxottica Retail UK (which operates Oakley’s UK stores) said: “We are pleased to be opening our latest store on Carnaby Street, the heart of London’s retail offering. The store will help bring our community physically closer to Oakley’s brand DNA.”

Alessia Russo added: “It’s a huge honour to join team Oakley’s elite roster of athletes. Oakley has always been at the front of pushing boundaries and always celebrates who we are as individuals. It’s such a privilege to officially open the Carnaby Street store.”
