Online returns ease rush at the post office

DAYTON — Two factors have changed the nature of tax season this year in the Miami Valley — electronic filing and the Great Recession.Taxpayers are largely filing online — an estimated 80 percent — so what used to a rush crowd at the post office has diminished. The post office, in response, isn’t staying open until midnight any longer.
