De Zerbi has said ideally He would not make so many changes but Gross is happy his side are ready for such circumstances.
The midfielder said: “That is normal if you play every three days.
“We have a really good and we have 20 top players and that is not a problem because we train every day together.
“We are not training with 11, we are training with 20.
“We train with mixed teams every day so we all have a relationship.”
Gross was not expected to return until after the international break but said: “The recovery went quite well.
“The staff and I tried everything. With an injury you are always pushing and everything is fine.”
Gross is among the players on who De Zerbi and his medical staff will keep a close eye going into the Liverpool game.
