Peat and Diesel begin two-night run at Mareel

SCOTTISH band Peat and Diesel enjoyed a busy start to a two-night stint at Mareel in Lerwick last night (Friday).

The Western Isles folk rockers headlined the venue’s auditorium last night at an event hosted by NorthLink Ferries.

The ferry operator’s newsletter subscribers were able to get free tickets for the gig as Peat and Diesel made their first return to Shetland after playing the 2023 Tall Ships Races.

The band will also play Mareel tonight (Saturday) in a normal event open to all, with tickets still available.

Thanks to Marvin Smith for these photos from last night’s gig.

Scottish singer-songwriter Cody Feechan provided support on the night.
