Bhumjaithai party leader Anutin Charnvirakul said that his party agreed to join the Pheu Thai-led coalition under three conditions.

Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai parties have officially announce to form a new coalition government.

They hold a joint press conference at the Pheu Thai party headquarters to establish new coalition allies, beginning with the total of 212 seats including141 House seats of Pheu Thai and 71 seats of Bhumjaithai. They will later announce which parties will join the new prospective coalition.

Bhumjaithai party leader Anutin Charnvirakul said that his party agreed to join the Pheu Thai-led coalition under three conditions. Bhumjaithai will not form a minority government. It will neither join a coalition with the Move Forward party nor amend Section 112 or the royal defamation law.

Asked whether the new coalition will include military-linked political parties, Pheu Thai leader Cholnan Srikaew said his party accepts individual MPs of the parties from the former government bloc if they will vote for the Pheu Thai prime ministerial candidate.

The establishment of the new coalition is aimed to secure more than half support from MPs and the Senate in the prime ministerial vote for the Pheu Thai candidate in order to form a new government. (TNA)
