Meghan Markle has opened up about her life in Montecito and her lifestyle brand, in a new interview. Piers Morgan has since addressed one part of her candid conversation, where it suggests that the Duchess of Sussex’s staff announce her arrival before she enters a room.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, writer Kaitlyn Greenidge described visiting a “grand” New York City brownstone owned by one of Meghan’s friends. She commented on the moment she and the Duchess entered the home.
“When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,’ even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house,” Greenidge wrote.

On Thursday (November 21), Piers took to social media to highlight the story, sharing a link to the article with the caption: “Meghan Markle’s staff announces royal before she enters room – despite having just two guests.”
Addressing his 8.8 million followers, the 60-year-old presenter added nine laughing out loud emojis and the post quickly sparked a debate in the comments, the Express reports.
As one of his followers asked: “Okay all you Brits, I have to ask: Are members of the British Royal Family ‘announced’ in this manner upon arrival at routine engagements? Let’s say they visit a school, hospital or charity…would an official appear and call out their title as they step from a vehicle or enter a room?”
While another shot back at Piers, writing: “She really lives in your head rent free doesn’t she @piersmorgan.” As another agreed with this sentiment, penning: “Piers is clearly still bitter she cut him off.”
Additionally a forth user reacted with humour, as the suggested: “@SouthPark new episode pronto.”
This is not the first time Piers has made headlines while speaking about Meghan and her husband Prince Harry. The Uncensored host turned heads last month when he appeared on The Daily T podcast with Camilla Tominey.
During the episode, he delivered an unfiltered opinion on the Sussexes as he spoke about his new novel Woke Is Dead – which discusses how the woke movement has transformed society forever, fuelling cancel culture on a global scale.
Turning the conversation the royal couple, who feature heavily in the book, Camilla asked: “Do you actually hate Harry and Meghan? Because they do feature in a chapter in the book, a royal chapter.”
To which Piers responded: “No, I actually have less and less interest in them. But yes, there is a chapter really about the royals generally but also about—to me—what they represent.”
He raged: “[Harry and Meghan] are the epitome of the worst aspects of wokeism, the virtue signalling, the victimhood, the always blaming other people, and the rank hypocrisy.
“Like they’re jumping on private jets and then preaching about the environment, preaching about poverty on their Twitter account, and then spending $1 million on a baby shower and so on.
“There’s an underpinning of hypocrisy, double standards, virtue signalling, victimhood, all these things which I despise about the woke mentality. But they’ve become increasingly less relevant, really,” he concluded.
