Pippa Middleton makes rare public appearance with sister Kate and Meghan to enjoy Wimbledon final

Pippa Middleton has made a rare public appearance to join her sister Kate and Meghan Markle in the Royal Box at Wimbledon today.

The trio looked joyful in each other’s company as they cheered on the women’s singles finalists Simona Halep and Serena Williams.

The event is the first time in seven years that Duchess Kate and Pippa have appeared in public together, the previous time being Wimbledon’s 2012 tournament.

Fabulous in floral! Pippa Middleton looked chic in a blue and white patterned dress for her outing to the Ladies Singles Final, while Kate rewore a bespoke Dolce & Gabbana dress that she first debuted during her royal visit to Canada in 2016

It is also the first public outing of all three ladies side-by-side.

Pippa arrived alongside her sister Kate, who is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and spent the first part of the day carrying out royal duties.

Meghan was later seen smiling and laughing as she arrived and sat between the two sisters.

Kate, 37, wore a dark green Dolce & Gabbana dress, which she had previously worn during a royal tour in Canada with Prince William in 2016.

Keen tennis fan Pippa Middleton, who is a good friend of finalist Roger Federer, looked to be having the time of her life as she watched the action on Centre Court

Meanwhile Meghan, 37, wore a crisp white button down shirt which she paired with a pleated white skirt with a blue design from Hugo Boss.

Rounding out the royal trio, Pippa, 35, opted for a romantic blue-and-white floral print dress. 

The cheerful appearance comes despite rumours of a royal rift between the Cambridges and Sussexes, though it is not known if the rumoured tension is between Meghan and Kate.

Relationship expert Lara Asprey said the event was an opportunity for Pippa to meet Meghan, but also show her relationship to sister Kate is still strong.

‘It is lovely to see Pippa return to Wimbledon with her sister, given how frequently they used to go it is hard to think she hasn’t been with Kate since 2012,’ said Ms Asprey.

‘Pippa is now married, and she has had her first child. Kate and William’s marriage fell a short time before their last appearance together, and there was a long period before they were out in public together.

‘I think between her sister’s wedding and her own Pippa has tried to be her own women, she has done her own thing. Now she’s married there’s more in common.

‘It’s also nice for Meghan to meet Pippa which she hasn’t really had the chance to, they do both lead quite private lives.

‘This is their girls day out, and an opportunity to be a bit less official, and Pippa will bring some girl chat. I don’t think they plan on confronting any difficult topics.’
