Plaque Commemorating VA/WV Boundary Presented At Courthouse

It has been more than 200 years since Jefferson County, was created using annexed royal lands in 1801, and almost 150 years since West Virginia separated from Virginia in during the Civil War in 1863. And now, following more than 20 years work between individuals in both states, a formal boundary has been drawn between the two counties and states.
