Plenty more PRINCES in the sea! As Denmark’s future King is off the market, meet the world’s most eligible royal bachelors from Sébastien of Luxembourg to Abdul of Brunei

Once thought to be one of the most eligible bachelors in the world,  Prince Christian of Denmark is reportedly off the market, as he’s rumoured to dating Italian heiress Princess Chiara of Bourbon-Two Sicilies

But there’s still plenty of eligible royal bachelors out there for any would-be Princesses to court.

Throughout Europe and Asia there are dozen of handsome, charming and stylish royals who are still on the dating scene.

For instance, dapper Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg is thought to be single; the well travelled 31-year-old is fluent in Luxembourgish, French, English, German and has some knowledge of Spanish.

Meanwhile, Afonso, Prince of Beira, 27, is already hotly desired by his Portuguese followers thanks to his dashing good looks, with several Instagram fan pages being set up in his honour.

Here, FEMAIL reveals the dashing royals from around the world who have yet to have their heart stolen…

Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg is the youngest son of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa – and therefore doesn’t make the headlines as much as his older brother and heir to the throne Prince Guillaume.

The 31-year-old, who was born on 16 April 1992 at the Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, went to UK boarding school Sandhurst from 2016 to 2017, following in the footsteps of his father and his eldest brother.

The prince was sworn in as an officer of the Luxembourgish Army in September 2017 – but since then, Sébastien has commanded a platoon of the Irish Guards.

His grandfather Grand Duke Jean served in the regiment of the British Army during World War II.

Sébastien is fluent in Luxembourgish, French, English, German and has some knowledge of Spanish, according to the Royal Household’s website.

For his university studies, he went to America and during the summer holidays, he interned at LVMH Watch & Jewellery in Hong Kong in 2014.

He holds a degree in Marketing and Communications from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, and has also worked in Germany for a forest management, focusing on sustainable methods.

The prince takes part in ceremonies such as National Day with the Royal Family of Luxembourg, and enjoys discovering new cultures, according to the household’s website.

He travelled to New Zealand for three months in 2019, and enjoys climbing, skiing, swimming and rugby.

The prince currently lives in Portugal and is the Honorary Commander in the Voluntary Fire Brigade of Lisbon.

Although he doesn’t appear to have a public social media account, fans of the royal’s can often spot him joining his mother, Isabel, Duchess of Braganza, or his younger sister, the Duchess of Coimbra at events.

As the grandchild of German Royal Prince Egon Furstenberg and the renowned fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, it is clear that Prince Tassilo has iconic family ties.

The 21-year-old royal is known for his jet-setting tendencies while maintaining a low-key profile.

Brother to socialite and model Talita von Furstenberg, the family is known for their lavish holidays, and the siblings have been photographed enjoying luxurious holidays across the globe, from the southern coasts of Italy to Africa with their fashionista grandmother.

With a host of impressive family members, it is thought that the eligible bachelor will follow suit and have a lasting impact.

As Vice-Chairman of the Board of Qatar Investment Authority and Managing Director of Road to 2022, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar does not let royal links come between his hard work.

Mohammad, 35, was previously awarded a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar in 2009.

Soon after, the Sheikh travelled to the prestigious Harvard University to secure a master’s degree in public administration.

Now, the Sheikh, who is also brother to the Emir of Qatar, has dedicated his time to a range of business pursuits, including bringing the Fifa World Cup to Qatar last year.

It seems that the Arab world cup is one of the Sheikh’s proudest pursuits as he has previously shared multiple snaps of the tournament to his Instagram while thanking all of those involved.

The Qatari royal also places emphasis on charitable pursuits, as he directs his followers on social media to donation points for the relief of earthquakes in both Syria and Turkey.

Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei, 32,  is the tenth child of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

The Brunei royal often offers his followers a glimpse into his lavish lifestyle on his Instagram account, which boasts over two million followers.

The Prince regularly shares snaps of his busy lifestyle, and if he’s not playing polo, you might catch him practising aviation or kite surfing.

It’s evident that this Brunei bachelor likes to stay busy, and his careers in academia, the military, and sports demonstrate just that.

After completing his primary and secondary education in Brunei, the polo player travelled to the UK’s capital to study at King’s College London, the same city to which he owes his military career.

In 2011, Prince Abdul launched his military journey after graduating from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst as an officer cadet. Today, Abdul is recognised as a Major and has undergone further UK-based RAF training.

If that wasn’t enough, the Prince also represented his country in polo in the 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

As a member of a historic royal house with a glittering career in finance and invites to star-studded events, Prince Wenceslas of Liechtenstein has plenty to offer a potential partner – yet the 49-year-old has struggled to find ‘the one’.

Wenceslas, son of private banker Prince Philipp of Liechtenstein and nephew of the reigning Prince Hans-Adam II, has never married or had children, unlike his equally dashing brothers Alexander and Rudolf.

The London-based royal’s last public relationship was almost 20 years ago, when he dated stunning Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima, now 41, for three years.

The romance landed the young couple on New York’s society pages and led to the royal being nicknamed ‘Prince Wence’ by the tabloid press.

In the decades since, he has been snapped with a string of glamorous women, including Sports Illustrated model Barbara Palvin, 28, and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Tom Cruise and Princess Victoria of Sweden at glitzy galas.

Last October, he enjoyed an outing with yet another beautiful blonde in London – but it seems lasting love remains elusive.

Founded more than 300 years ago, the Princely House of Liechtenstein gives its name to the tiny European nation.

All living members are descendants of its founder, Prince Johann I, who was granted admission to the Confederation of the Rhine in 1806 by Napoleon, in a move that laid the foundation for sovereignty.

The issue of sovereignty remains important to the nation, which has a population of just 38,137 and measures just 15 miles from east to west.

Prince Louis of Luxembourg has an eventful past when it comes to romance. In 2021, Louis announced his engagement to French lawyer Scarlett-Lauren Sirgue, but just one year later, the pair cancelled their plan to wed.

But the short-lived engagement has meant the 37-year-old is back on the market.

Before his relationship with Lauren Sirgue, the Prince was married to Tessy Antony from 2006 to 2019, the relationship that gave Louis his two sons, Prince Gabriel of Nassau, 17, and Prince Noah of Nassau, 15, who both attend school in London.

The Prince and Tessy announced their engagement when they were 19 years old, the same time that they were pregnant with Prince Gabriel.

Prince Louis, who has a private pilot certificate, has achieved a host of commendable academic achievements. Despite openly discussing his intense struggles with dyslexia at the Forum of Learning Disabilities back in 2016, Louis acquired a bachelor’s degree in Art and Communications before securing a master’s degree in Psychological Studies from Birkbeck College in London.

Nowadays, with a lack of presence on social media, Prince Louis maintains a lowkey profile.
