In a recent public notice, the Department for Transport has announced a proposal under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to authorise the stopping up of an irregular shaped northern part width of Rock Gardens extending into Broxton Drive in Plymouth. This proposal is intended to facilitate development as permitted by Plymouth City Council under references 07/01094/OUT and 12/01171/REM.
The draft Order and relevant plan will be available for public inspection at the Royal Mail Plymouth Mail Centre, Breakwater Road, Plymouth, PL9 7XX, during normal opening hours for a period of 28 days starting from August 15, 2024. Copies can also be obtained free of charge from the addresses provided below, quoting reference NATTRAN/SW/S247/5763.
Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted are encouraged to submit their objections in writing. Objections should be sent to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, quoting the above reference. All objections must be received by midnight on September 12, 2024.
